However, from what I learnt from my short time bartending in a club(kinda) is that the majority of employees stay no more than a few months and are mostly uni-students, desperate for a bit more cash.

So - either know a bar owner or get an awful job in a club and expect to stay there/not progress onto having more responsibilities. My friends are only 18/19 and in no position to get their managers to give me a job ? especially as theu only work holidays now they're at uni :/ Unfortunately, my whole family/family friends are either self-employed or work office jobs, or a specific degree is required. I have tried to get retail jobs, all minimum wage, some even only a few hours a week, and I get turned down due to lack of experience? Retail is a very common-sense job imo, especially if you just work for a little corner shop I can't imagine many stressful challenges that require years of experience to deal with? Ever single person I know, who I have talked to about jobs, has told me that they used connections to land a first job in whatever sector. However, even if I stayed at this job and got lots of experience from it, I doubt I'd get hired as a bartender in a restaurant or pub, simply because I have no cocktail-making experience. It was in a club/venue host, night-time hours and we didn't make cocktails, hence it was possible/realistic to just learn things as you went along, rather than receive formal training.

I did a trial shift, said I enjoyed it (I did enjoy the work itself, as it was fast-paced and left no time for boredom) and I was employed (no contract, casual work). It was my first job and I have no retail/hospitality work experience. I do not begrudge these people their individuality and I wish them well in their personal lives, but I do not get to express my individuality at my place of business.Yes - I recently did a three week bar job (quit bc it was unreliable work, no overpay for longer hours, unhygienic working conditions ect.). “I am there for the immersion and the fantasy, not the reality of a stranger’s self-expression.

VanBoskerck criticized other changes Disney has made, such as one announced this month to allow “greater flexibility” for Disney employees regarding “forms of personal expression,” such as nail and hair styles and visible tattoos. “So this adult man from Las Vegas is mad about Disney removing racist characters and animatronic rapists from their rides?” Ms. Eskamani took a different approach on Twitter.
